Many people say new energy without knowing what it means. A new energy must fit for purpose. For example, while you can use battery for a small car or even a pick up, it’s never suitable for a heavy bus or truck.
It also depends on the circumstances. If buses are seldom used in a busy city with a spider network of subways, perhaps a small 7m single deck bus with a 200 kWh battery are sufficient. But in areas like Alaska, battery is stagnant in winter and hydrogen is a better choice.
